All of our corrugated cardboard displays are green displays! 100% recyclable green earth friendly displays!

Earth Friendly Displays by CardboardDisplays.com

Plastic displays, metal displays and glass displays will all take generations to decompose while our cardboard displays decompose in only a few months! It's not just about using a recycled display it's about what happens to it when your display is finished! Our cardboard displays are the easiest material to recycle but in case they don't get recycled they will still breakdown and decompose in soil so they will never harm the environment. See the chart below showing how long it takes for different materials to decompose....

Cardboard/ The Recycling Champion.

Corrugated fiberboard is more likely to be recycled than any other product, surpassing glass, aluminum and plastic.  Today, 73 percent of all corrugated is recovered for recycling - up from 54 percent in 1990.  In 2004, over 24 million tons of corrugated were recovered for recycling in the United States.  In fact, a single fiber from a corrugated box can be recycled many times before it is too short for continued use.*

How your displays effect the environment....

Cardboard

Plastic/Acrylic

Metal

Our cardboard displays in WHITE or in Kraft color shown above will typically decompose in 4 to 8 months. They are also 100% Recyclable!

These plastic displays will NEVER decompose in soil. Decomposition rate for Plastic is "Forever"

Metal Displays will literally take hundreds of years to decompose.

Did you know our displays are 100% recyclable?
Corrugated is a natural, environmentally friendly medium that is recycled more than any other packaging material. It is produced by an industry deeply committed to its "cradle to grave" involvement in responsible use and reuse of its end products and raw materials.

Our Safe Product Guarantee:

Our corrugate will NOT contain, any intentionally added lead, hexavalent chromium, cadmium or mercury or a combined concentration of lead, hexavalent chromium, cadmium or mercury of 100 or more milligrams per kilogram.

More Details:

The difficulty with calculating the recycled content of a given product or for a given plant is that a plant may run an order this month with liners from Mill A (about 20% recycled content) and medium from Mill B (100% recycled content).  Next month, for the same item, the liners could come from Mill C (3% recycled content) and the medium from Mill D (30% recycled content).  Further, depending on mill operating conditions, those mills that run with anything less than 100% recycled fiber will have some fluctuation of actual recycled content in their production, even from hour-to-hour.  Also, Supply chain situations could cause roll stock suppliers to change a month or two in the future.  The Federal Trade Commission (FTC) regulates the use of environmental marketing claims such as recycled content of packaging.  The FTC does allow the use of annual averages in recycled claims provided that the average can be supported with documentation based on weighted average of the materials used.   At this point in time, tracking containerboard consumption and recycled fiber usage is a labor-intensive process.

SSCC does publish the recycled content of each of our own mill’s output. However, individual mill recycled content data should not be used to represent the recycled content of a finished box.

In a change from the previous version of our Recycled Content Position Paper, the Corporate Environmental staff and the Container Division’s Technical staff have determined that we can no longer calculate an accurate recycled content percentage of our box plant system output.  This conclusion arises because it is difficult to determine the tonnage shipped from each of our own mills to our box plants vs. the tonnage shipped to trade partners and outside sales customers from our mills.  It is even more difficult to determine the recycled content and the tons shipped into our box plant system from each of our trade partners individual mills.  This tonnage is about one million tons annually.  Today, we can only make claims regarding the fiber supply make-up of SSCC’s Containerboard mill system.  The following statement can be used to respond to customer inquiries regarding SSCC’s mill system’s fiber content:
